Positionnement  artistique 

Avec un point de vue humoristique, critique ou poétique, le travail artistique s’intéresse aux petits et grands travers de l’humain en relation avec des problématiques et enjeux sociaux. Les propositions plastiques en volume recherchent le plaisir du sens. Elles associent étroitement — d’une manière visuelle, sonore, tactile, lumineuse ou cinétique —, des concepts, idées, mots, pratiques, faits ou phénomènes en créant ou utilisant des fournitures et matériaux très divers ainsi que des objets industriels retravaillés.Chaque oeuvre cherche la complicité du public et parfois sa participation physique (actionner un élément, toucher, écouter, sentir…). Les objets-images-reliefs, dispositifs signifiants et sculptures engagent des question nements de tous ordres et invitent à aller au-delà de leurs évidences figuratives faciles d’accès.La démarche de création est ainsi centrée sur le processus de signification qui s’engage dans la relation établie par étapes entre trois parties prenantes : la mise en jeu conceptuelle et plastique de l’artiste ; les éléments de problématisation proposés par le dispositif ; l’action interprétative du public auquel appartient toujours la décision sur le sens final.

Artistic stance

Adopting humoristic, critical or poetic posture, my work takes an interest in the small and the great vices and peculiarities of humans. By extension it naturally touches on the related social issues. Works in the form of plastic propositions in volume seeking the pleasure of the meaning are the product of this endeavor. Whether it is in a visual, sonic, tactile, or kinetic manner, they bring together concepts, ideas, words, practices, facts or phenomenon, using a wide variety of materials and technics. Original sculptures, composite objects or repurposed commercial goods are just a few specimens of the many shapes and forms these pieces can take.

Every piece aims at engaging and developing connivance with the public. They occasionally push the need for engagement as far as requiring physical involvement from the public (by activating a mechanism, touching etc.). The production of and play on the meaning, which is the essence of this body of work, emerges from a complex interplay between the public and the pieces.
